Aizawl: The Middle on Thursday appointed senior IAS officer Renu Sharma as the brand new Chief Secretary of Mizoram.
Sharma’s appointment coincided with the state’s further chief secretary JC Ramthanga taking up as chief secretary from November 1 by the Mizoram authorities.
The order issued by the Ministry of Dwelling Affairs (MHA) on Thursday stated that Sharma has been transferred from Delhi and posted because the Chief Secretary of Mizoram with impact from November 1.
The switch order was made with the approval of the competent authority, it stated.
Sharma will substitute Lalnunmawia Chuango, who will depart the workplace of the Chief Secretary on voluntary retirement on October 31.
In accordance with an official, Sharma, a 1988 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer, was already posted in Mizoram and was initially commissioner and secretary within the finance and normal administration departments between June 2011 and August 2012.
He was once more transferred to Mizoram in 2016 and posted as Principal Secretary within the state Dwelling and Personnel and Administrative Reforms Division, he stated.
In the meantime, the state authorities on Thursday appointed Ramthanga to take over because the chief secretary from November 1 until additional orders. A 1989 batch Manipur cadre IAS officer, Ramthanga is presently posted as Extra Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister on deputation.
